Technology
Corrosion Protection Technology
Every MOERY grade balances film strength, drying speed, removability and safety.
Corrosion Resistance
Inhibitors adsorb onto the metal surface while a dense film blocks water, oxygen and salts.
Thin-Film Technology
Thin, non-tacky films keep parts easy to handle and dimensions unaffected.
Easy Removal
Films can be removed with solvent or alkaline cleaners before downstream processes.
Application Flexibility
Dip, spray or brush, depending on grade and part size.
Formulation
Four building blocks
A fast-drying rust preventive is built from a base oil, rust inhibitors, a volatile solvent and supporting additives. Changing the balance changes the film.
- Base oil — refined mineral or synthetic, forms the film
- Rust inhibitors — fatty acids, sulfonates, amines
- Solvent — controls viscosity and drying speed
- Additives — antioxidants, defoamers

Safety first: drying speed depends on the solvent. Very fast solvents have low flash points, so MOERY balances drying speed against flash-point safety.
